Fahey’s most recently launch was as creative and content director for AARP’s Disrupt Aging, challenging old assumptions the world has about aging and being a modern “elder.” She is the co- author of DUMPED, a Grown-up Guide to Getting Over Your Ex, contributor to Huffington Post as well as Disrupt Aging, focusing on sex after 50.

Her latest and greatest incarnation is the inventor and creator of GLORIOUS BROADS, a movement that celebrates and elevates agelessness with the mission to burn a spirit of hope into the heads, hearts and hands of women of the world. She seeks to turn the monologue of age into a dialogue of possibility and silence the voice of ageism. Period.

Waking Up And Turning On Your Feminine Genius With Liyana Silver

May 11, 2020

Waking Up and Turning On Your Feminine Genius

What if you took the energy you spend self improving, self bashing, and chasing impossible standards, and instead channeled it into what truly brings you alive?

Answer: Your feminine radiance would light up the world.

This week I’m thrilled to be talking LiYana Silver on what it really takes to walk the path to wake up and turn on the wisdom of being a woman.

In this episode you’ll discover

What is the difference between Masculine and Feminine Genius? Why being pleasing, perfect and pretty,  causes us to override our own body, trading who you are for what other people think you should be.  Understanding the Dark Night of the Soul, and the common threads and phases that often accompany these times.Understanding the oracle you have at your fingertips, and how to connect to the oracle within. How to get lit off another woman’s brilliance vs. feeling competitive or not good enough. How to reawaken your Feminine Genius, because for many of us we’ve been very disconnected from this aspect of ourselves.and much more.

This week I’m so honored to jam with Liyana Silver, author of Feminine Genius The Provocative Path to Waking Up and Turning On the Wisdom of Being a Woman.

I DEVOURED her book because I love the beautiful way she articulates the power and importance of owning our Feminine Genius, in a world that teaches us otherwise.

LIYANA SILVER helps women transform self-criticism.  Through a unique process (that finds where the self-criticism got installed in the first place), LiYana helps women stop self-doubt and second-guessing — so that they feel comfortable in their skin, know their worth, are clear about their contribution to the world, feel at home in their lives, and naturally trust themselves (even with life and work’s hardest choices).

LiYana’s offerings include her book; private coaching; her online courses, “Feminine Genius At Work” and “Mining For Gold in The Dark Night of Your Soul,” and her online community, “The Deep End.”  Her work has been featured in the Huffington Post, Forbes, Jezebel, Thrive Global, Bustle, Emerging Women, and Yoga Journal. She also dances, paints, mamas, takes deep breaths, and (mostly) eats sitting down.

Comedy, Community, and Surviving Motherhood with Tracey Tee and Shayna Ferm of Band of Mothers

April 27, 2020

Comedy, Community, and Surviving Motherhood

Sometimes Moms just need a laugh, so today I’m honored to host my friends Shayna Ferm and Tracey Tee, founders of The Pump And Dump Show and #BandOfMothers, because mothering is better when we do it together.   Tune in to as we laugh about life, motherhood, and the real challenges this experience has thrown our way.Even though we can’t physically be with crew of moms right now, we can still connect and band together to support one another.

Tracey and Shayna believe parenting is f-ed up and hilarious. They believe in telling moms that they’re awesome. They believe there’s power in laughter. And that parenting is better when you have a #BandOfMothers to help you. The Pump and Dump Show “night out” for parents where every kind of mom can be in the same room – whether they’ve never tried a cloth diaper or if they ate their own placenta – and together they can laugh at the things we all have in common.

The Pump and Dump Show is the great mommy pressure gauge that equalizes parenting.

In this episode, the hilarious comedy team of Shayna Ferm and Tracey Tee and I jam on all the things happening right now.

We dive into:

How laughter helps us get through hard times, and the strength it takes to overcome the real challenges people are facing these days.

Surviving homeschooling, surrendering to screen time, Mom sex (or the lack thereof), stopping mom shaming, the power of bringing women together,  why they created #BandOfMothers app,  and menstrual cups.  And we fantasize about having a hotel room to ourselves.  (Note you must watch their hysterical video about that HERE)

Sadly, due to the coronavirus, they’ve had to postpone all their shows, so they’ve created a free online version of their famous Mother’s Day Eve show, you can find out more and join in for a night of laughs and an hour to yourself.

If you want to join their community of awesome moms, check out their BOM (#BandofMothers) app on Apple or Android.

About the Pump And Dump Show:  Heralded as “the original mom’s night out” The Pump and Dump Show is a raucous evening of original music, comedy, games, commiseration and validation. Original, live musical performances are spread throughout the evening with songs like “Eat Your F-ing Food,” and “When I Die, I Want to Come Back as a Dad.” Audience participation includes “Cervix Says” and “The Most F-ed Up Thing Your Kid Did This Week.”  The show typically runs an hour and a half, so you’ll likely be home by 10pm. We get it. You’re tired. While the show is mainly geared towards moms, dads LOVE it too. Rather than man-bashing, or even kid-bashing, this hilarious evening is a celebration and commiseration of what it’s like to be a parent. Because we’re all just doing the best we can.

Sensual Self Care For Stressful Times with Amanda Testa

April 20, 2020

SEnsual Self Care for STressful Times

I get it, life is crazy right now.  Things are turned upside down in so many ways.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, then this podcast is going to deliver six sensual self care strategies to feel deeply connected to the part of you that feels strong and knows you can get through anything… your sacred power, your unbreakable core, building resiliency and trust.

Tune in to feel supported to find calm in the chaos, so there is less tension and stress in your home, and find more playfulness and pleasure in a doable way, so you can actually enjoy the time of togetherness with the people you love most.

In this episode you’ll discover

Six sensual self care secrets to cultivate resilience, calm, and pleasure during the chaos. How to nourish your nervous system, what that means, and why it is so important during stressful times. How to connect to what you really need, so you can ask for and then receive those needs. How to find compassion for yourself, no matter what you are experiencing.Creating rituals to find fun, playfulness, and pleasure so your Feminine Fire stays lit and alive!and much more.

I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve been feeling a bit like a caged animal.

I’ve been doing surprisingly well during all this craziness, but I also feel a shift in a longing.  A deep longing for things to be easier again.  To feel safe going out in the world the way I want to.  To be able to travel and see my loved ones. I also have been experiencing all the feels, the ups and downs, the fear and the economic distress, the joy and the closeness of my family, spending such wonderful time with my daughter, and the moments of bliss with my husband.I’m just so grateful this all didn’t go down 15 years ago – I would be in a totally different spot.  I used to live in a constant state of anxiety, I felt disgusting in my body, battled an eating disorder for years, numbed with alcohol, and felt trapped in a terrible relationship. (basically, I was miserable , but I did a great job of hiding all this, the 20 pounds of extra weight was the only external evidence)

Throughout it all, there was a part of me who knew that relationship wasn’t right, who knew I could honor my body and treat it with love. a part who was strong and had an intense will to survive.  That same part has shown up in my life time and time again when things feel helpless, dark, and hopeless.

We all have this part inside of us.  Our unbreakable core, the divine light inside of us, our original essence or original blueprint that is designed to grow and thrive, to fully love and experience life to the fullest.

Sometimes when life is stressful, it’s really hard to find that part of us.  The part that can be calm and respond lovingly to our kids when they interrupt an important zoom call, vs. SHHHHing with eyes like daggers when they try to get your attention.   The part that can see the bigger picture when your partner starts a fight, knowing they are just stressed too, and having compassion and empathy for them. The part that can keep you connected to joy and pleasure amidst the pain and chaos of the world.  The part that can be a beacon of light for your family.

It’s not always easy, but the more we can connect to that powerful unbreakable core within us, the more we have the trust and resilience to get through anything with grace.

Now my life looks totally different.  I’m married to the most amazing man, who adores me and treats me like a Queen, I have a beautiful daughter who’s fiery spirit is the light of my days, (and who keeps me on my toes), I love myself like never before, every part and piece of me, and I have amazing friendships and a powerful community of support.

All these things took effort, and a new way of being, that I learned by reaching out for help  when times were hard.  I had to learn to ask for help, and then learn to receive that help.

I learned the most cutting edge, transformative tools out there, and because I use them every day, I’m a totally different person than I was 15 years ago.  The amount of patience, confidence, and resilience I have continues to blow me away.

Look, I want everyone to be able to have the capacity to find more pleasure in their lives, to have the chance to be deeply connected to themselves and their loved ones.  To have epic relationships and a powerful community of support. I want you to feel how deeply, completely, and fully you are loved, that you belong, that you are enough, and that you are powerful beyond measure.

This is why I’ve created this offer of love, and my heart fully wants to call in the women who are also desiring connection, support, and helpful tools for resilience and joy during this time.

Nourish is a 6 week group coaching sisterhood, starting May 8th.   We will meet at noon MST each Friday of these six weeks to connect to our unbreakable core, to find support, and to have FUN.

Listen, this is for you if you want to connect with your unbreakable core and live life from this place.  If you want to find more pleasure during this stressful time.  If you want to feel supported by myself and other amazing women in this powerful program, and discover some of the most powerful ways connect to the Queen of Womanhood within you, please join us.

You can learn more and sign up HERE. I know deep in my heart, the more of us who are showing up in this crazy time strong, supported, fully resilient and resourced, fully connected to their most empowered self, the more quickly we will emerge from this experience stronger and more connected as a whole than ever.

This world needs us at our best right now.  Who do you want to be when this is all over? How do you want to be remembered by your family during this time?  Let’s become stronger, more empowered, more joyful together.

Join us here.

Here’s what I want you to know, whether or not you join us, you are loved.  You are important and powerful, and I’m so grateful to have you as part of the community.

Sending so much love,Amanda
