February 11, 2019

Why learning more techniques isn’t going to save your sex life.

Have you ever had an experience where you went to initiate sex, and your partner turned you down, and you felt unwanted, alone, and slowly turned over and quietly sobbed into your pillow?  Maybe you feel bad because you are the one saying no because your partner doesn’t approach you in a way that you like?

Or have you just resigned yourself to the idea that you and your partner are just “sexually incompatible”?

In this powerful episode, Jaiya busts so many myths about what you think it takes to have great sex.
Listen in to discover:
  • What are your Erotic Blueprints™?

  • How these blueprints can help you understand the patterns of arousal, and how this differs from what we’ve been taught.

  • How learning each others blueprints, enables you to communicate and approach your partner in a way they can respond – think love languages for intimacy!

  • Learn more about the blueprints and discover what your blueprint is so you can better connect with your partner, and better understand yourself and your needs.

  • Take the QUIZZ yourself HERE!

Prioritizing Pleasure with Kit Murray Maloney

January 21, 2019

In this week’s podcast episode, I’m talking with my dear friend and pleasure activist Kit Murray Maloney.  We’re diving into the power of women’s orgasm, sex magic, ethical porn, healing sexual violence, and lots more juiciness.

Listen in as we jam on what could happen by elevating our sexuality to the top of our “to do” lists, and how that affects our operating in the world, What is the pleasure pledge and how you can get involved in this 21 day pledge, how to get into the “practice” of being in communication with your body daily, what is “ethical porn”, the good, the bad and the ugly around pornography, and much more.

Kit Murray Maloney believes the world needs genuinely nourished, unapologetic, and embodied women. She is driven by her core belief that a celebration of women’s sexual pleasure, including female orgasms, is key to healing ourselves and the planet.

New School Sex Ed with Anara Lani and Chris Muse

January 14, 2019

Let’s face the facts.  For most of us, the sex education that we received in our formative years was lacking and sometimes entirely incorrect.

As a result, you may carry shame, judgment, or other feelings about yourself or your sexuality that impact your life. This episode is all about breaking free of these feelings and embracing radical acceptance through somatic sex education.

In this week’s podcast, I am talking with Anara Lani & Chris Muse, the founders of New School Sex Ed.  Anara and Chris are somatic sex educators who have directly experienced the pain and confusion of being brought up in a world where mixed messages about love, desire, and sex are the cultural norm. They’ve spent several years untangling and clarifying what true sexual health and empowerment feels like, and they are passionate about creating opportunities for individuals, couples, and groups to safely explore their own experiences to find self-acceptance and personal liberation. Anara and Chris believe that through compassion, guidance, self-reflection, and dedication, this kind of awakening is available for all of us.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • What led both Anara and Chris to become somatic sex educators.
  • What it means to truly feel freedom sexually.
  • Why Chris & Anara have taken a more grounded approach to sex education than many other educators.
  • How Chris & Anara are making up for the lack of sex education that most of us got when we were younger.
  • What somatic sex education is and how it’s different.
  • The difference between sex and sexuality.
  • How sex has more to do with connecting with yourself than most people realize.
  • The stories we make up about sex based on our early experiences.
  • What to do if you want to work with a sex coach but you feel uncomfortable or ashamed.
  • The importance of accepting any trauma or shame that may come up.
  • What it’s like to explore radical acceptance of our bodies and the freedom that comes from it.
  • How Anara and Chris went from thinking they were sexually empowered to realizing they actually weren’t and the work they did to feel truly empowered sexually.
  • The role of vulnerability in this work.
  • Why you might want to work with a sex coach or educator instead of just referring to a book.
  • That importance of presence and awareness in having a better sexual experience and tapping into your emotions.
  • What can happen when we focus too much on what “should” be happening.
  • What it means to authentically trust yourself.

It’s an episode jam-packed with goodness!  Find more about working with Chris and Anara here, and find out more about their upcoming events!
